Inoue Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1911 as "Inoue Knife Manufacturing Co., Ltd." Initially, they manufactured the "Higonokami" folding knife.
Later, they expanded their product line to include construction and civil engineering tools such as chisels and crowbars, and currently focus on producing power tool attachments.
"Kurogane Kazura" is a stationery brand that utilizes the fire-forging techniques passed down since the company's founding. They produce products that combine functionality as tools with the unique character of handcrafted items.

This is a small knife crafted using traditional fire-forging techniques.
It's designed for using at your home or in the office, serving as a paper knife or pencil sharpener.

The blade is made from "VG10," a stainless steel developed by Takefu Special Steel Co., Ltd. VG10 is a high-grade cutlery steel with an excellent balance of sharpness, rust resistance, and chip resistance. It possesses sufficient hardness for a cutting tool while being easy to handle in everyday life.
The entire blade is vacuum heat-treated and then hand-forged to achieve sufficient hardness for a cutting tool. The hardness is approximately HRC60±3.
Furthermore, a small bevel is added to the edge, slightly blunted to prevent chipping and significantly improve the durability of the sharpness.
The opposite end of the blade has a small edge for sharpening pencils, etc.

The surface features a hammered texture created by hand. The color variations and processing marks resulting from the forging process are also characteristic of this product.
The slender, elongated blade and the vine-like curved shape are not only beautiful but also functionally designed to fit comfortably in the hand.
A dedicated leather case is included.
Important Notes
- This product has a sharp blade. Please handle with extreme care.
- Do not use for purposes other than intended.
- After use, store safely in the leather case.
- When inserting or removing the blade from the leather case, be careful not to cut through the leather or stitching.
- Avoid touching the blade tip.
- If you wish to reduce the sharpness of the blade tip, you can run a few strokes of the blade tip over a whetstone. Please be extremely careful during this process to avoid injury. We also offer sharpening services.
- Although stainless steel is used, it is not a completely rust-proof material. After use, wipe off any moisture or dirt.
- If you wish to have the blade resharpened, please consult a repair shop or the manufacturer. Resharpening will incur a fee.
